UNEP Project Kick-Off Ceremony: Japan Supplementary Budget 2024-2025

On 30 April, H.E. Mr. MATSUURA, Permanent Representative of Japan, attended the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Kick-Off Ceremony for the projects funded by the Japan Supplementary Budget 2024-2025 which was held at the United Nations Office in Nairobi. The Government of Japan will support seven projects through this supplementary budget (approximately 4 million US dollars in total) aimed at environmental recovery in Ukraine, plastic pollution countermeasures in developing countries, and the promotion of synergy initiatives.
In addition to UNEP staff members involved in the projects, representatives from the embassies of the recipient countries also participated, sharing their commitment to the successful implementation of the projects.
